Monte Carlo Night — A Win Win for YHA!

We enjoyed a full house of winners on Saturday, April 9 at the 2nd annual Monte Carlo Night! Youth Homes Auxiliary hosted over 200 guests at the beautiful Rossmoor Event Center for an evening of Las Vegas-style card games including Black Jack, Casino War and Texas Hold ‘Em. The outstanding food was painstakingly prepared by the YHA volunteers under the discerning leadership of Stanley Maleski – delectable whole roasted salmon, frittata bites, shrimp, home-baked dinner rolls and an amazing array of cheese and fruit, not to mention a tasty assortment of dessert sweets. Talk about a caloric WIN!

We were pleased to have the lovely handmade jewelry collection by the Anderson Angels for sale during the evening. Special thanks to Peggy Fleming and her hard-working assistants for making this amazing collection of beautiful items available to MCN 2016! Anderson Angels sold over $1800 of their unique accessories at the event — and all the proceeds go back to the girls to support their efforts to become self-sufficient and independent. Another WIN!

At the end of the evening guests exchanged their chips for raffle tickets, finishing the evening with a fast-paced raffle for great prizes and baskets like the awesome 50” LED smart TV, lunch on the Napa Wine Train, chocolate-making classes, beautiful fashion handbag and scarf, and many more! All told, the event raised just under $8,000 for foster youth in the care of Youth Homes, Inc! BTW, we understand the winner of the 50” LED smart TV immediately donated that awesome TV to one of the Youth Homes group homes – WIN-WIN again!

To all who attended, volunteered, and supported Monte Carlo Night 2016, the fabulous, spirited MCN2016! committee extend our heartfelt thank you! Because of your support, we are helping foster children grow into a future of hope and possibility.
