Fun had by all at Annual Member & New Member Tea

The Member and New Member Tea just concluded and it was another wonder-ful event, held for the first time at the Alamo Women’s Club.
If you were not able to attend, you missed delicious home prepared treats made by Jean Stringfellow, Hospitality Chair, & Barbara Ingraham, Recording Secretary. We were thrilled to have the new CEO of Youth HomesInc., Candy Espino, speak to us about developments at the Agency. She was joined by Jonathan Wolfrum, a Clinician for the Transition Aged Youth (TAY) and Aftercare populations. These two programs serve those youth who are between the ages of 18-23 and are no longer eligible for residential care. Jonathan shared his personal experiences in working with these clients, many ofwhom struggle with mental health issues in addition to being outside the foster care system and completely on their own. The Auxiliary has increasingly been focusing on how it can support these challenged young people.
If you are interested to learn how you can help, please attend an upcoming Member meeting to learn more.
